RMU NATIONALS 2010

Robert Morris University gets to the DANCE...

RMU finds themselves in a pool of champions. The way rankings fell, RMU had two legit #1 seeds in their pool. A wake up call to the dance was given Wednesday morning as RMU met eventual Champions Saginaw Valley State. The champs started early with 5 goals in the first period and never looked back!
Thursday would bring a new day and a better game... but same results. #1 Ranked College of the Canyons jumped on the Colonials with 2 first period goals. RMU struck back with a PP goal from Jeremy Martin. But the end of 2 periods would find RMU down 5-2. Goals from Erath and Faulkner would help the cause but College of the Canyons wasn't done as they added 2 even strenght goals to win 7-4.
Friday became Senior night at the Nationals! John Dominick with the start in goal in his last game in a RMU uniform, made a lasting impression....
A glove save in the 1st period to keep Florida off the board is a save that ALL RMU players and fans will remember. RMU hit the score board first with a PP goal from Dan Clark. The first period would end with RMU up 1-0 over the Gators. The second period would be a different story, the Gators jumped on the Colonials with a quick PP goal to bring the score to a deadlock... Rmu and the Gators would exchange the next few goals to bring the score to 3-3 after 2. The gators had enough and scored 5 straight goals in the third, even with the never quit style of the Colonials the 3 goals in a row were not enough to put the Gators away. RMU falls 8-6 in their NATIONAL DANCE DEBUT....

Success or Bust?

"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
T. Roosevelt.

Learning to dance is not easy, but if you never get there.... YOU WILL NEVER KNOW!

Great Season RMU.... GREAT SEASON!
